Equipping Couples
Working with a team, we conduct half day to 3-day marriage enrichment seminars for couples, characterized heavily by group interaction and numerous projects where husband and wife communicate over the material in a method designed to avoid conflict while sharing deeply.
Homebuilders
Homebuilders marriage enrichment Bible studies are the core of FTR’s ministry. FamilyLife studies include 20 titles for marriage and 6 for parenting. Couples meet in small groups and discuss in a non-threatening environment issues such as “Building Your Marriage To Last,” “Building Teamwork In Your Marriage,” “Resolving Conflict In Marriage,” “Improving Communication in Marriage,” and “Raising Children of Faith.”
We are continually training couples to lead Homebuilder groups either in their homes or churches.
Premarital Counseling
Our passion is helping couples begin well. Using FamilyLife’s “Preparing for Marriage” manual, we spend 8 to 12 months before the wedding date helping couples prepare to nurture an abundant marriage after the wedding day. We meet as couples once per month after the engaged pair have individually completed workbook assignments and met to discuss their answers and delve into what God is teaching them about marriage. We have nurtured about 60 couples in Kenya through pre-marital counseling.
Hadada: Unplugged Retreats
One of our big dreams at FTR is to develop a spiritual-direction retreat center where couples can unplug from the digital world to connect deeply with God and each other to build stronger marriages. We have raised funds to purchase 3 acres about 1.5 hours outside of Nairobi.

FamilyLife
Although we are shepherds of Fruit That Remains, we continue to serve as the International Representatives for FamilyLife in 22 African countries, nurturing and managing the development of FamilyLife through partnerships with Campus Crusade for Christ, denominations, individual churches and seminaries.
